Dan Brewer, Fund Manager (Kansas City) has 22 years of experience in real estate investment, capital placement and management. He has been working in the senior housing sector since 2008 and has served as Fund Manager for the first two Senior Living Fund projects. Dan is founder of Kansas-based Bridge Capital Management Group, which provides fund and asset management services for real estate funds and projects. His business relationships and market knowledge are critical in guiding the Fund’s investment and partnership decisions. He also has a strong business background, previously serving 11 years as a senior manager for business development and planning at Anderson Consulting (now Accenure).
Dan earned his BA in Business Administration from Briar Cliff College and his M.S. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University.
Mark Phillips, Esq., Fund Manager (Los Angeles) has over 25 years of experience in real estate finance, development and acquisitions and law. While Mark’s primary passion is serving as Fund Manager for Senior Living Fund California, he continues to maintain interest in Phillips Development Group and Pacifica Capital, family-owned investment companies that he founded with brother Scott Phillips (below).
Prior to founding Pacifica, Mark was a vice president of development for Watt Investment Properties, a division of Los Angeles’ second largest home-building company at that time, Watt Industries. Mark graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from UCLA and received his JD from UC Berkeley Law School. He is a member of the California and New York bars and holds a California real estate broker’s license.
Scott Phillips, Senior Vice President (Los Angeles) has over 20 years of experience in real estate finance and development. He co-founded Phillips Development Group and Pacifica Capital with brother Mark.
Scott also currently serves as Senior Vice President, Capital Markets Group at Avison Young, a global commercial real estate multiple disciplined services firm. Prior to founding Pacifica, Scott was a vice president at the New York-based real estate investment banking firm Sonnenblick Goldman Corporation where he structured transactions involving debt and equity placement with domestic and foreign capital sources. He launched his career as an analyst in Los Angeles for the investment banking firm of Bear Stearns & Company. Scott attended Dartmouth College and is a graduate of UCLA with a BA in Economics. He also holds a California real estate broker’s license.
Mark Shader, Director of Operations (Kansas City) has over 25 years of business experience, including over 14 years in a business consulting and management role for Anderson Consulting (now Accenture). He has particular expertise in project planning and management, systems implementation, systems operations, financial analysis and management of real estate development projects.
Mark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University.
